"When I am not painting I am a swimmer of tides in oceans. When I swim my sentient self says I am a guest in the sea home of the octopus. In these moments I feel a deep humility and connection with the sentient octopus, who evolved from molluscs’ some 530 million years before me. These works are in honour of swimming in the home of the cephalopod and in praise of all life on our small blue planet."   Lou
