This is a one-line drawing I made at the residency in Howick. I would like to cut out the drawing around the edges, and then have it framed and sold, as is. I have previously sold large drawings with no 3D elements, and would like to ask the gallery to give this work a chance as is. The cut-out edges will still give it the typical Odette-flare, but I do not want to work into it as the one-line element will be disrupted by anything I build onto it. The drawing was made on my first day at the Mushroom Farm and captures a fast, expressive mark-making that was very releasing. I don’t want to alter the essence of it by adding any new elements.
