“Life is never without its challenges, but I believe there is always light to be found, even in the most uncertain moments. Through my paintings, I want to capture the beauty of being human, our struggles, our courage and the small moments of joy that remind us to keep moving forward. Hope is not the absence of difficulty, but the light we choose to see within it.”

When Light Meets Hope by Solomon Omogboye

Solomon Omogboye paints life as it is actually lived: imperfect, unpredictable, and full of moments worth holding onto. He builds his figures from long, woven strokes of colour laid down in thick, energetic patches. Each figure sits inside a veil of moving light.

Omogboye works by breaking a composition into the separate elements that carry emotion, knowing that the smallest shift in one can change the feeling of the whole. The result is a figure that holds many things at once: concern and wonder, effort and joy.

In When Light Meets Hope, light becomes the thread that runs through it all. These paintings don't pretend the journey is easy. They show people moving through it with courage, curiosity and gratitude, and they suggest that hope is often a matter of how we choose to look.
