This is a painting about what you thought all
these paintings were about.
I experienced sex by the lake behind our house
when I was young. It was quite common among children where I grew up. The
parents didn't know. I didn’t cry wolf. I didn’t hate it. When I think back to
that time, the water lilies are the first thing that springs to mind. But what
I cannot shake is how the ducks had made the lake feel lively a couple of years
prior.
