KZN Art Fair
The KZN Art Fair, presented as part of the Hilton Arts Festival, is a landmark initiative celebrating the richness and diversity of KwaZulu-Natal's contemporary visual arts and design sectors. Taking place from 7–9 August 2026, the fair brings together leading galleries, artist collectives, designers, collectors, curators, and audiences, creating an important platform for artistic exchange, professional development, and market opportunities.
Designed to strengthen the province's creative economy, the fair connects emerging and established artists with galleries, collectors, and new audiences, fostering sustainable careers while showcasing the depth of artistic talent within KwaZulu-Natal. Through carefully curated exhibitions, gallery presentations, and a dedicated showcase of KZN design, the fair highlights the province's distinctive creative identity and innovation.
Alongside the exhibitions, a dynamic programme of talks, panel discussions, workshops, and educational events encourages dialogue around contemporary art, collecting, design, and creative practice. As the first event of its kind in KwaZulu-Natal, the KZN Art Fair represents a significant milestone in the province's cultural landscape, aiming to retain local talent, expand opportunities for creative practitioners, and position KZN as a leading destination for contemporary art and design in South Africa.
