Featured at the ICTAF 2021 s a duo with Chrisel Attewell, this work was created during a residency in Knysna in 2019. The work is made from rust and oil paint on canvas and like Chrisel Attewell she only uses organic and natural materials. Deep beneath the earth, after the fires razed things to the ground, the rumblings of emergence of regeneration come forth from the soil. The abstract forms and composition echo Lichen and moss that grow as a sign of rebirth. When such fungi are visible in the forests, it is an indicator of the optimal growth and living conditions. It is often an indicator of the health of a particular climate.
