Once upon a time, there were 3 children, or were there?
This work was an experiment where I was unhappy with the
original background in the photograph and decided to remove it, not with
Photoshop but with grey acrylic paint. The colour grey lacks strong emotional
associations which makes it neutral.
Perfect for a party, right? To disrupt the calm effect of the colour
grey, I added a black party balloon with a fragile piece of string. Should we
party like there is no tomorrow, because tomorrow might never come….
Or should we party until we’re all blown up?
