“I thrive on the intersection of art and engineering, constantly seeking new ways to challenge perceptions and ignite imagination.”
Jarrod Berman was born in Johannesburg in 1978. His journey into the world of art took an unexpected turn in 2018 when his passion for sculpting and graffiti became a reality. As an engineer and artist, Berman blends his technical precision and creative skills with artistic expression.

Berman’s collection of work includes sculptures and mounted pieces that combine materials and 3D objects in simple, yet striking ways. The colourful palette used in many pieces belie the often tragic perspective of the work, counterbalancing existential themes with brightness and levity that leads the viewer back to a sense of hope, curiosity, and childlike wonder.

“My sculptures, crafted from steel and rock, my fascination with the human body ... My Lego graffiti designs infuse a connection to the earth with a bold infusion of vivid colour; a desire to evoke emotions and captivate people using anatomical elements.”

Outside of artistic pursuits, Berman has a deep passion for the ocean and the outdoors, finding inspiration in the natural world.
