This work demonstrates the interplay between the showing and veiling of my identity and self-presentation. I am interested in looking behind the mask as a tool to investigate the flux and hybridity of introspective identities within myself. The concept of time, masks and identity have become an ongoing and recurring theme throughout my internal exploration. After doing research on the origin of masks in the early stages of humanity, and their function to protect those who believed in them. I started to investigate this more, by casting masks from my own face, which ended up not so much as form of protection but rather something I believed in.
